Early19th Century Treen Reynard The Fox Snuff Box

A good early treen snuff box  an allegory of the historical fabel Reynard the fox in fine detailed relief carving to the lid ..the scene depicts Trial Of The Fox  Reynard with Rabbit standing in front of the lion King
with fellow animal subjects by his side,most probably once again protesting his innocence.Very fine  carved detail to all four sides of box with flowing leaf & vine.. Central bottom lid in tiny writing is the Name Heilbronn ( Heilbronn Germany) with the number 53 to the right .. the bottom left hand corner reveals further scripture  with more faded scripture on the underside of lid.
Origins probably Heilbronn Germany  Early 19th Century
