Just a very honest unpretentious piece, rural chic!  the scumbled finish, the various amounts of
 original historic paintwork this settle has seen through the centuries, the finger prints of its life
and soul are all on show here. Native elm and ash are the bones of this wonderful little settle, 
the age of time has given this special  piece a strikingly rich patinated skin and surface. Circa 1780.
