Unique piece of English social history depicting a blacksmith carved full in the round from
a single piece of Oak. This secular figure shows good attention to detail of the blacksmith wearing a cap with curly hair and a big moustache & beard ..wearing his traditional leather apron shirt sleeves rolled up a hammer in his right hand and a fuller or shank in his left holding a horse shoe. which is being beaten into shape on a anvil.. The figure is a good size of around 14" high 36cm with a nice skin and colour to its features.
