Highly unusual & rare stone Janus head one side showing a old face of a bearded man, eyes bulging with curly hair ... the reverse side showing a much younger face of a boy .. The Janus head has quite a few meanings from being two - faced and deceitful ... although this head in question is more representant of God of beginnings transitions, time, passeges & ending , the older face looking to the past while the younger looking to the future.
