Second half of the 17th Century A very fine rose engine turned Lignum Vitae Goblet with a internal nutmeg grater
complex engine turning throughout.The Lignum Vitae goblet which is just 4.5
inches high breaks down into 4 pieces with the finial unscrewing from the lid and the stem unscrews from the 2" high cup.The underside of the lid reveals a pronounced engine turned
incorporated nutmeg grater which is incredibly well preserved for its age. The underside of the base
with a rose engine turned motif. Overal condition to this remarkable little piece is excellent
with some shrinkage wear to underside of lid along with a few fine chips to rim of cup.
A very fine unique and rare piece of English treen.
