Incredibly well carved English oak panel , depicting a very animated looking falcon both wings aloft
perched on a dramatically carved oak branch with detailed oak leaves and berries. In Tudor times
the sport of falconry was very popular amoungst the wealthy including the King who was a very keen falconer. Anne Boleyn had the falcon as her symbol.
