XVIth Century Century oak bust sculpture depicting Charlmagne or also known as Charles the Great
Born April 2nd 742 AD Francia. Died - 28th Jan 814 AD Aachen Germany  King of the Franks 768-814 AD
King of the Lombards 774-814 AD  & also First Emperor 800-814  Holy Roman Empire..He was
was responsible for Uniting most of western Europe by the power of the sword. Crowning Of Charlemagne . Here wearing a
papal 3 tiered crown from the coronation of the holy Roman Empire which was given to him by
Pope Leo 111 his right hand pointing the the Orb which he is holding in his left hand.
Good strong expressive features to this piece.
